Who’s Who in Health Directory

The highly successful Who’s Who in Health directory of health and care services for the  Sherborne area  has been updated for 2020 and is available throughout the town free of charge.

The 2020 edition lists almost one hundred and fifty local providers of advice and support from day activities to dental care, healthcare services to help in the home in Sherborne and local villages. It has grown from four-pages to sixteen pages to include a short description of each group or organisation and that they can offer.

Roger Marsh- Chair of The Grove PPG said:

“The primary purpose of the directory is to enable people to find the right support when they need it for themselves, family or neighbours. 10,000 copies of the new directory are available free of charge from all Surgeries, dentists, library, town council offices and various shops around the town. Built upon the success of last year’s edition we have developed a distribution network, not only in Sherborne, but in the local villages through both parish councils and community magazines”

Produced by  members of The Grove Medical Centre Patient Participation Group,  with funding by Sherborne Town Council and the committee of the Sherborne Summer Festival, who are delighted to be involved with this excellent and local community project.

Grove PPG Chair Roger Marsh concluded:

“Another important benefit of the directory is the contact with more than forty different health groups, who can offer free support at a ‘Spring Clean Your Health’ event run by the Sherborne Area Primary Care Network to be held in the Digby Hall, Sherborne on the 21st.April.

“In addition, and more recently a weekly community health hub has been set up in Sherborne Library on Thursdays that has resulted in the opportunity to personally hand out the directories at the same time as promoting health and wellbeing.”
