Reflecting on our past - Planning for you future
For more than 70 years the “Friends” have worked across the Sherborne Community to raise funds to support the hospital and staff in their aim to deliver clinical excellence.
Our ability to adopt to the ever-changing demands of our health service, and the increasing needs of a constantly growing number of patients, enables us to follow and meet the expectations of patients and those of our broader community in Sherborne and surrounding villages.
We know buildings are important – but what happens inside them and at home in the community is more important.
Throughout our history we have supported major capital projects to provide the latest equipment and treatment facilities including: Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Audio-ology, Speech and Language, Stroke and Mental Health.
Today our funds continue to be used to deliver clinical solutions in preventative, recovery and end of life care; out-patient community based treatment including orthopaedic, physiotherapy, radiotherapy, cancer treatment, emergency blood supplies, mental health issues and of course support for all in the fight against COVID.
The Friends of the Yeatman Hospital is a small charity with a big heart.
We may be small – but we will always find room for you……. became a Friend to day…….
