Glanvilles Wooton WI invited Sir Oliver Letwin MP to speak on the 70th anniversary of the NHS and the 100th anniversary of the Right of Women to Vote.
Approximately 60 people attended. The ladies of the WI did a well-received spread of nibbles and cake. The major raffle prize was an outing to visit the Houses of Parliament in Westminster.
The event was in aid of the Friends of the Yeatman Hospital. It as a great evening, much enjoyed by all who attended.
Our chairman, David Hayes, visited a later WI meeting where he spoke about the Friends. Joyce Dibble gave him a cheque for £300 from the money raised at the talk in June. Also in the picture is Dolly, the dog, who just passed the tests to become a PAT dog and will be visiting patients at the Yeatman soon.
