The New Year has started off with energy and drive for the Friends of the Yeatman Hospital. We have already held a Marketing and Communications Sub-Committee, Goverance Sub-Committee and Recruitment Panel meetings and we are barely a fortnight into the New Year.
2022 will be a year of transition and change for the Friends with the Chairman and three other Trustees moving on in accordance with the rules of the charity’s Constitution
David Hayes, outgoing Chairman of the Friends commented;
“Our Constitution limits the appointment of each Trustee to a maximum of 6 years. 2022 is the year when I and 3 other Trustees will be stepping down, so we are actively recruiting to appoint a new Chairman and 3 other Trustees. While the timing is unfortunate it is also an opportunity to introduce new thinking and energy to the Friends.
“We have created a section on our website with full information on the role of Chairman which is available now with an application form for anyone who is interested in applying. Details of the Trustee positions will become available in late February. Applications close at the end of February for the Chairman’s position and the end of March for Trustees. All appointments will be subject to the approval of members at the AGM in September”
