We are writing to tell you that today, the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the national quality regulator for NHS organisations, has published their report of the recent inspection of our services. They have announced that Dorset HealthCare has achieved the highest possible overall rating of ‘outstanding’.
We are the first combined community and mental health Trust in the South of England to be rated ‘outstanding’ and only one of a small handful in England. The full inspection report can be found on their website at www.cqc.org.uk/provider/RDY
Thank you for your work to make our services outstanding – we are proud to be a part of Dorset HealthCare and we hope that you are too.

Anne Hiscock, Matron
As a Dorset HealthCare member of Staff and Matron of the Yeatman Hospital I am so immensely proud that our services across the Organisation have been rated overall ‘outstanding’ by the CQC this week.
This achievement is down to the care compassion and commitment of all our staff in every role and at every level. It has been a challenging journey, but so well worth it.
The next challenge will undoubtedly be maintaining our status and standard of delivery, which is so very much at the heart of what we strive to do for our patients families and local communities.
To be finally recognised for the fantastic work that our teams do every day is extremely rewarding for us – it has given Staff a real boost and sense of collective achievement.
From the bottom of my heart to ‘Team Yeatman’ thank you and very well done – keep up the good work.
