Rendezvous Funding

For the second time in two months the Friends of the Yeatman Hospital announces its support for Sherborne focused community health projects.

In July, Trustees approved £10,000 for the beginning of a Capital Project to transform Stewart Lodge into an all-age provision for mental health care in Sherborne. This first stage will create two new clinic rooms and administrative space in Stewart Lodge for the Yeatman based adult mental health team. This will enable additional clinics to take place.

Also in July, the charity confirmed it would provide £5000 to a new appeal fund for the new breast cancer unit at Yeovil Hospital. Last week the Friends agreed to contribute to mental health service training up to £17,400 at Sherborne’s two state primary schools, the Abbey and Sherborne Primary schools.

This week it exchanged Letters of Agreement to continue its funding of the Emotionally Connected Sherborne project led by the Rendezvous Centre, by £10,500, to ensure the provision of mental care and counselling continues for the next 12 months.

Friends Trustee, Liz Turnbull, who has organised the sales for the past 5 years was delighted to confirm the return to Terrace Playing Fields.
