A BIG Christmas shopping day thank you from the Friends of Yeatman. The Friends of Yeatman Hospital set out its stall at the top end of Cheap Street as part of Sherborne’s annual Christmas Shopping Fair and raised a staggering £900 in public donations.

Yeatman Willows ward wins national award for exemplary, holistic end of life care. The Willows ward, committed to providing care on a par with a hospice to all patients approaching the end of life and their relatives, has been named the first ever Gold Standard Framework Hospital Ward of the Year.
The Ada Kearvell garden was officially opened on Friday 20 September in the afternoon. The Garden was opened by Susan Arrow, partner of the late Tim Edwards. Tim was a cider maker for Somerset Cider Brandy and a very keen supporter of Cricket.
Bonny Sartin of the famous group The Yetties gave a concert at the Weavers Social Club in aid of the Friends of the Yeatman Hospital. £371 was raised by his loyal fans.
The Sherborne Literary Society hosts their annual Sherborne Literary Festival from October 23 -25. They have very kindly donated 100 tickets for the hospital staff and the Friends of the Yeatman as a thank you for all the hard work they do in our community.
This year the Friends were privileged to be the selected charity at the Blackmore Vale Business Awards 2019 Dinner, held at the George Albert Hotel, Yeovil.
More than 120 mothers and their babies, born at the Yeatman before 1986, met to celebrate and thank the Hospital Staff in Sherborne on Saturday evening, September 21, 2019. 125 birthday guests attended, aged from 91 to 36, who either gave birth or were born at the hospital including our current Sherborne Mayor, Cllr Jon Andrews.
